CAPTCHA

It is very important to secure the information provided for forms e.g. registration and login process. This isn’t only limited to security implementation related to the information being entered but also to the provider of the information. Which means, we must make sure that the form being submitted is by a genuine user and not an automated application usually used to post marketing related posts or network flooding purposes.

The best known technique is use a CAPCHA control in the forms, requiring a user to type some distorted text, which is easy for humans to perform and thus makes it much more secure from automated programs.

reCAPTCHA is a free CAPCHA service, which can be implemented on any form. You can reference reCAPTCHA assembly in your web site project and can use the server side control to validate CAPCHA input or can use the client side validation. The URLs below provide information on implementing CAPTCHA.
