Column Merging

We often need to display two columns under one heading and this lesson shows how this can be done in M#.

In order to merge columns you need apply “Needs merging” attribute on the element and M# merges the column with the preceding column.

M# places both columns inside “ItemTamplate” of gridview.

Please note that M# automatically merges two neighbour columns if they have a same "Header text". Therefore, in such a case there is no need to set the "Needs merging" property to true.
